I was on a bus heading home from school on 21^st April 2008 (Monday). At 3:01:51pm, my bus collided with a car (van like car). The impact wasn’t great. Yet, I was almost thrown out of my seat. With my eyes usually closed upon finding a seat on the bus, it was rather coincidental that I opened my eye in time to witness the entire collusion.

I heard the bus captain slammed down hard on his brakes pedal. As I jerked forward from the impact, I opened my eye only to see the front of the car appearing in the bus’ lane. The bus screeched to a sudden stop but was still unable to avoid the car. It knocked straight into it. Fortunately, the hit didn’t cause much damage because; the car was still able to move forward into another lane to stop. The bus captain was very thoughtful as he quickly turns around to ask if everyone on board was alright. Finally, both bus captain and car driver went down to talk.

The truth is I was not afraid at all. It was a rather minor accident. However, the scariest part was the scream from one of the lady on board. Her scream literally sounds like all of us on board are going to die. Oh… that scream still lingers in my ears. It was indeed a horrifying scream, so scary yet funny while thinking back to the point in time.

By the way, I apologised for not being online these few days… as I am suffering some major headaches. Hopefully it’s not from the accident. Thank God for keeping me safe for now.

After being away for a year, here I am writing on my blog again. Have I been very missed? ^.^ Don’t worry, I haven’t changed much. I’m just a bit prettier now. Ha ha ha…

Main reason for blogging now is to encourage my fellow friends. Whether you are in a relationship or not, you are welcome to read. Don’t forget to drop me a comment on your view. Certain things you may not agree on, so do share.

Firstly, all of us want to be love and to love. However, how many of us actually know what love is?

To be true, no one will ever understand the feeling of love. For those not attached, do not despair. Because when true love comes it will never leave just like in a family. No matter what, you should love your family members more.

In a BGR, you may not be experiencing what you expect. There will definitely be quarrels sometimes but is that considered a bad relationship?

Girls’ expectation: lots of times for me, care for me, treat me well, gifts and flowers on occasions, understanding (able to take my hint) and sensitive to my feeling etc.

Boys’ expectation: care for me, give me freedom, don’t spend so much money, shopping is boring, understanding (don’t ask so much) and don’t be so sensitive etc.

Quarrels and arguments are ways of understanding each other better too, since they often happen when people don’t agree with each other. After the quarrel, do reconcile. Do not let misunderstandings continue. Time on Earth is short. You do not have much time with your parents, your siblings (if any), your GF/BF. Always treasure the every moment with them.

Lastly, I will end my sharing with the following: (from a friend)

“Love is not for the one you love, it is for the one who makes you feel special, with whom you laugh, cry, care, share, with whom you are yourself, who makes a difference in your life, makes you feel.. Love”

Perhaps I should be really happy this year. Majoring in BSc Information System and Management, from the University of London, I’m finishing my first year at SIM.

In addition, I made a group of wonderful friends and named ourselves the “sisters”. It is amazing to have such trustworthy friends in the University. Previously, believing on the “sound” advices of some philosophers, I was told that it will be like “searching a needle in the sea” to find good friends in the Uni. Well, I have just proven them wrong, haven’t I? Pardon me for saying that. Ha ha..

Enough of the entire boring introduction. Let’s talk about my birthday wishes:

Yeah! My birthday is like tml.. and I’m freaking excited. Although there are not much to be excited about but ya.. I am lah.. ha ha.. okay, here it goes..

1. MP4  = gotten
2. earrings, clothes, necklaces
3. lots of celebrations
4. loads of presents
5. many friends
6. tons of happiness
7. One true love from God. (that’s my greatest wish.)

Each arrival of my birthday denotes the closest that I am to meet HIM. How should I not be happy and excited? The faster my journey is done, the faster I return home to where I belong. Isn’t it wonderful? Isn’t it marvelous? YEAH!!

~ Birthday Girl ~

Somehow or rather, I realised that the friends around me are one after another being attached. They will always be talking about their boyfriends or girlfriends. How lucky and blessed to have each other. They encouraged me to go get one. Some friends even suspect I have something wrong, therefore no one like me at all.

Erm… well, hello! I’m perfectly fine and normal here. However, I see no “the one” appearing in front of me. I have lots of questions to ask. The followings are just a few:

-         How do you know he/she is the one?

-         What is falling in love?

-         How to fall in love?

-         What is the feeling of falling in love?

-         How to sustain faithfully?

-         Are you sure you will love forever?

Can anyone answer my questions? Am I consider to be the most unlucky one in love? Is it so hard to love properly and that the love is everlasting?

I don’t envy, but I wonder why. Of course it hurts me to not be same as everyone else. Yet, I must say I am more special in this way. At least I’m willing to wait. No matter how long it takes, I will wait for the one from God. Praying hard! >.<

Today’s my 21th birthday…

I had received a ‘me to you’ bear and a new handphone.

Thank God for all the gifts. Thank you all my friends. I hope for more presents and good news to come along. heehee… I believe that all are in the provision of God.

My birthday wish is to ever trust and have faith in the LORD. My prayer is to seek God first in all that I do. I truly love God with all my heart.

Wow… time indeed passes very quickly. It seems like it was just the first day of camp but now it is already two weeks since the last day of camp. Yet, the memories of my dear empire: Kasakian, are still so fresh on my mind.

Yesterday, it was our very first Kasakian outing. Actually, it is also the first empire of OLTC that had an outing. No one could ever believe it. The whole empire turns up for the outing. Ron and I were very happy indeed. Hahaha… our lovely children… oops… hahaha…

In the afternoon, we had a little shopping sessions. Due to Cat, Stacy and Shirley had not taken their lunch, we went to KFC. I guess we spent most of our time there.  Reason? Our little sleepy Eugene lor… Hahaha… he wanted to catch some sleep there.

Hm… in fact, we didn’t really shop much. I felt like we just had a walking session through shops. Hahaha… yet, we had fun talking and walking together. Of course not everyone was there for the shopping session. Some of our children had to work… Ron lor… never work hard enough to give all of them money… hahaha… just kidding.

For our dinner, we had it at Orchard Seoul Garden. The whole Kasakian was there. People thought we were having an illegal gathering outside seoul garden… hahaha… actually Ron and I had booked the table in advance including a cake for Perline’s belated birthday. We were all very excited to sing a birthday song to surprise her…

In the end, I was the one being surprised. They gave me a metoyou bear. It was quite big therefore I guess it must have cost a lot. Oh dear… so sweet… they sang me birthday song… *sob sob*… so touching… no lor, this time I never tear ok… hahaha…

After that, the cake was presented and we sang birthday song for Perline. Wow… you should have taken a look at the knife they provided for us. So huge lor… “Hello? We are cutting a cake here not meat.” I thought… hahaha… just kidding… We agreed that all of us had fun.

Wonderful day… wonderful children… wonderful ‘husband’ : Ron… hahaha…

Ron is wonderful lor… but he’s the poorest now… oops… everyone knows why… :p

~Love My Dearest Kasakian Family~

There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit.

Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak…"I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright.

I stopped the lad and asked, "What you got there, son?" "Just some old birds," came the reply.

"What are you gonna do with them?" I asked.
"Take ‘em home and have fun with ‘em," he answered "I’m gonna tease ‘em and pull out their feathers to make ‘em fight. I’m gonna have a real good time" "But you’ll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do?"

"Oh, I got some cats," said the little boy. "They like birds. I’ll take ‘em to them.

The pastor was silent for a moment. "How much do you want for those birds, son?"

"Huh?? !!! Why, you don’t want those birds, mister. They’re just plain old field birds. They don’t sing. They ain’t even pretty!"

"How much?" the pastor asked again.

The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, "$10?”

The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten dollar bill. He placed it in the boy’s hand. In a flash, the boy was gone.

The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot. Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and by softly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free.

Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began to tell this story.

One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting. "Yes, sir, I just caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn’t resist. Got ‘em all!"

"What are you going to do with them?" Jesus asked.

Satan replied, "Oh, I’m gonna have fun! I’m gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to drink and smoke and curse. I’m gonna teach them how to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I’m really gonna have fun!" 

"And what will you do when you get done with them?" Jesus asked. "Oh, I’ll kill ‘em," Satan glared proudly. "How much do you want for them?" Jesus asked.

"Oh, you don’t want those people. They are no good. Why, you’ll take them and they’ll just hate you. They’ll spit on you, curse you and kill you. You don’t want those people!!"

"How much?" He asked again.

Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, "All your blood, tears and your life."

Jesus said, "DONE!"

Then He paid the price.

The pastor picked up the cage he opened the door and he walked from the pulpit.

In the morning, I went for the IT Project Show rehearses in school. It was kind of good to take a look at all the top projects. They are truly impressing.

The main purpose that I update my blog today is because I would like to say I had recovered from the previous night’s informal meeting. I had to re-confirm with my friends that I’m fine. “Friends, I’m fine! Hahaha… Believe me!”

Conflict management for work as well as relationships:

1. When met with problem, first thing is always to talk it out. Dun keeps hiding things in your heart. Nothing can be solved without allowing the other parties to know.

2. After the talk, sit down to think of resolution together. The talk may be a hug argument or with unfriendly remarks but after that everyone has to calm down and think of the best solution together.

3. There would certainly be some people who would not bother at all. They would think that it’s none of their business. Handle them with care. They need to understand the important of togetherness. A little chat from friends or person-in-charge would be advisable.

4. The best medication to cure conflict management would be to have good listening skills and clarifying skills. With them, people would most likely not have as much conflict as before.

5. Last but not least, have an open heart. Once the talk is over, stop thinking about it. Instead work towards the goal or finalized solution that everyone has come out with.

Hope everyone would learn to carry these things into their working environment that includes me. I truly wish all my friends and colleagues to understand the fact that where ever we go, we need to work with people. Be it in BGR or working life, try to apply the above. I believe it would help greatly.

I had learnt them from experience and would love to share them to everyone. Strive together and make things for the better. It’s never too late if we start trying now. Have a never say die spirit.
